Day Seven was our Castaway Cay day. Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island in the Bahamas. It is a beautiful island and has so much to do. Even if you just want to relax they have you covered there too. The great thing about Castaway Cay is that there is amazing food available that is included so you don’t have to get back on the ship for lunch. Here was our day at Castaway Cay!
After a fun day at Castaway Cay we had a fun dinner at Animator’s Palate. This was our second time dining there and each experience was different. The first visit you will remember that Crush talked to everyone. This time we all drew a character and Sorcerer Mickey brought all of our drawings to life. This episode also shows the saddest part of our cruise…when we disembark at Cape Canaveral. We hope you have enjoyed our episodes about our Disney Cruise and we look forward to sharing more with you in episodes to come. We hope to share our favorite moments and maybe some tips for first time on a Disney Cruise.
Before we get to Castaway Cay Day Seven we thought we would share an overall walk through that TPB Dad recorded while everyone else was on Castaway Cay that day. It is just a basic walk through of the ship. I think you will recognize many of the areas from the previous episodes.
Day 5 had to be broken into two different episodes. One for the day with out port at Falmouth, Jamaica and some more exploring in the Oceaneer’s Club and one for Pirate Night! In this episode we arrive at, what we thought was a very cool port, Falmouth, Jamaica. We spent the morning out there shopping and taking in the sights and sounds. We enjoyed lunch at Royal Court, which was the first time we tried a sit down restaurant for lunch and didn’t just head to Cabanas. After lunch they were having another open house in The Oceaneers Club which gave us all the opportunity to go enjoy those areas a little more.
Day 4 we were at Grand Cayman. You have to take a tender boat to the island which we all did. It wasn’t as bad as I had originally thought. Kind of like taking the ferry boat to Magic Kingdom honestly. That night was Prince and Princess night where all of the food had a royal twist.
Day 3 we docked at Cozumel, Mexico. We were excited to see a new country. For our family it would be the first time out of the US. We were not very impressed as there was not much to do and the shop keepers were extremely aggressive. Maybe if we had ventured a little further we might have found something but the experience we were having made us just want to quickly get back on the ship. I think you need to plan an excursion if you are porting here. It was also Halloween night and we had a great time at the Halloween Mousequerade Party and trick-or-treating.
Day two was a day at sea and we started off with a character breakfast at Animator’s Palate. It was a fun and relaxing day where we tried out the AquaDuck and met with a few characters. It was formal night that evening so we spent some time getting photos in the atrium.
This was a day of excitement! One that we have been waiting on for a very long time! We finally are boarding the Disney Fantasy for the Halloween on the High Seas Cruise. We traveled from October 21-October 28, 2017. It was such a great time. Be sure to SUBSCRIBE to not miss one day of the cruise. This is only the beginning! Much more to share!
