My family and I have become huge fans of theme parks over the years and living in Florida we had passes to them all. In 2016 I decided to take my family on vacation to many locations including St. Augustine, Washington D.C, Sesame Place in Pennsylvania and yes of course Williamsburg VA.
As a huge fan of Disney I wasn’t expecting anything to come close, but this park is a competitor. If I had to describe Busch Gardens Williamsburg in comparison to Disney I would say it’s a mash up between Epcot and Magic Kingdom.
I was immediately taken back by the beauty of this park and how much it has to offer. When you first enter you see these amazing buildings and décor from England. As you travel into the park it is separated by different countries. I am a huge fan of travel, obviously, so I am drawn to this park just by décor alone. Each country has unique offerings, such as food, rides and wonderful shows.
One thing I really appreciate about this park is that it has something for everyone. Since 2016, my family has visited this park many times and every time we leave so happy. Even at it’s busiest times we never feel rushed, crowded or overwhelmed. Wait times for rides are minimal and they have many rides for the little ones as well some of the greatest roller coasters I’ve ever been on.
If you ask my children what my favorite things besides them, they would say travel and Christmas. Busch Gardens Williamsburg offers an extremely breathtaking event called Christmas Town. This event is a separate ticketed event, but worth every penny. This year if you get a premier annual pass before March 31st Christmas Town is included! This theme park by far exceeds my expectations and is my number choice for a family vacation.
