“A community is more than just a group of people living in a particular area. A community is a group of people we lean on when times are tough; our friends, family, and neighbors who are there for us when we need love, support and encouragement.” Sona Mehring.
Did you know there was a community for people who love Disney? There are tons of websites, blogs, YouTube channels, and yes Facebook groups all about Disney. Just like the above quote a community can mean so much more than living next door to someone.
The greatest thing I take away from my love of Disney is the friendships I have made. We have all become part of something magical and the bonds are strong. It’s funny to say that I think of someone as one of my best friends and have only met once, but seem to talk every day and it all started with the mouse. My family has become close with people from all over and we have Disney to thank for this.
Let me introduce some amazing people from our journey. Chris Malek, Peter Pontecorvo, and Stacey Nyman from The Dub Dee Dub Revue Podcast. These 3 enter our homes every week when we listen to the latest podcast and more importantly have become amazing friends over the years.
Mr. Greg Nevius is the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back. I have never officially met Greg, but he has helped me when I needed it and never asked for anything in return. Did I mention that he is an amazing artist? You can purchase Greg’s beautiful Disney artwork at https://tictail.com/gnevius and don’t forget to follow him on twitter for occasional discounts!
Tim and Amy Vanswol are the true meaning of Disney family vacation. When you see commercials of families having a fabulous time at the parks I automatically think of this sweet family. Amy takes her love for Disney and pours it into her work with Magical Journeys Travel.
Last but certainly not least is one of my best friends Tamara Speidel. Tamara makes these beautiful Mickey and Minnie ears that are not only fashionable, but comfortable. Check her designs out on Instagram at Magical Mara Designs. Recently I had the pleasure of visiting Tamara in Colorado. I am still in awe that something like a love for Disney can bring people from all over the country together.
